Lee Jay C. De Jesus
Mr. De Jesus has been teaching preparation programs for the International English Language Testing System since 2005. A scholar from Ateneo de Manila University, he has poured his talent into designing affordable programs to fulfill the language requirements needed by his Kabalen and fellow Filipinos.
A firm believer in the concept of “magis” (excellence), he strives to further his qualifications and services for the greater good. He is one of the few instructors in Pampanga to have aced the actual IELTS Exam, and he is a member of the British Council Teacher’s Club.
Mr. De Jesus has taught English for college students and has experiences in the field of newspaper writing, hosting, public speaking, and judging in various competitions. He is currently proprietor of World English Reviews.
Robert John Green
Bob graduated from the University of New South Wales with A BSc in Industrial Engineering. After pursuing a career as and Industrial Engineer in the clothing industry, where he was actively involved in developing and establishing vocational training courses for that industry, in !982 he became involved in the application of computing within that industry. In 1984 he joined GGT, a garment technology company in the U.S.A, as a product manager in the International Division. In this role he was responsible not only for product development and marketing but also marketing, technical and support training.
In 1991, Bob relocated to the Philippines initially being involved in the garment industry but then expanded into the information technology sector. From 2000 to 2003, Bob lectured at Southville Foreign Colleges, on behalf of The University of Technology Sydney, in such subjects as English Business Communications and Academic English in conjunction with Information Technology based subjects.
In recent years, he has developed ESL and language teacher training courses for Jabez International whilst developing and delivering language courses to call centre operators at such companies as Shell, Thomson Reuters and Citibank. In 2006, Bob received a Certificate in Training Workplace English.
Since 2005, Bob has extensive experience in teaching both ESL and IELTS English in many companies across the Philippines such as Allgen Review Centre, Omega Associates, Jabez International Language School, Future Perfect, International Education Specialists (InterEd), Riskmatize Incorporated (RMI), College Assurance Plans (CAP), among others.
Ana Marie C. Alfelor
Ana Marie C. Alfelor graduated cum laude with a degree in Speech Communication from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She has over 6 years of experience teaching Speech Communication and English to both Filipino and foreign college students at the University of the Philippines, Pampanga. Ms. Alfelor is also a KBP-licensed broadcaster and has over 5 years of radio broadcasting experience. She began her broadcasting career as a health and beauty show host on DZAR Angel Radyo 1026 while she was still in college. She later became a DJ and talkshow host on the Pampanga-based station RW95.1 FM.
Ms. Alfelor is currently working on a master’s degree in English Studies, major in Language, also in UP Diliman’s College of Arts and Letters. As an English Language major, she has attended international conferences and learned from the world’s foremost linguistic experts like Dr. Andy Kirkpatrick and Dr. Kingsley Bolton. A lover of literature, Ms. Alfelor also studied comparative literature and creative writing in English under some of the most prominent literary figures in the country. These include Dr. Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo and Dr. Rosario Lucero.
Ms. Alfelor is an experienced writer of learning modules for both young and adult learners. Aside from her role at World English Reviews as consultant for curriculum development, she is also Content Manager for I-Learn English, a set of computer-based English proficiency modules for Filipino public high school students. I-Learn is a priority project of the Office of the President’s Commission on Information & Communications Technology, in partnership with Aklan State University.
Ms. Alfelor’s current passions include putting up her own tutorials and training center and creating awareness on environmental advocacy as a member of Haribon Foundation.
Ligaya B. Valencia
Ligaya Barrozo-Valencia, a consistent college scholar at the University of Santo Tomas, graduated Magna Cum Laude with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education, major in English and Theology. An M.A holder in Teaching English as a Second Language at the University of the East and in Guidance at the Harvardian Colleges, she has been in the academe both local and international, teaching English as a Second Language/ Foreign Language, Speech and oral communication, as well as journalism. Her forte in teaching has been shared locally to the Philippine Women’s University (Manila), Centro Escolar University (Manila), St. Michael’s College (Pampanga), and Mary the Queen College (Pampanga); internationally to the Health Science College, Nursing Department (Head of English), Ministry of Health, Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Philippine International English School (Consultant of English) Fahaheel, Kuwait.
She was a former Dean of Education, Principal in the High School, Guidance Coordinator, Adviser/ Moderator of school organs, a trainor/ coach and judge in declamation, elocution, oratorical, speech choir competitions, and essay writing contests and a guest speaker/ lecturer in language teaching seminars. She has over forty years of proud service in the academic world.
